The Reliance Controls 8-circuit 30 Amp transfer switch is designed for use with generators up running up to 7500 watts with NEMA L14-30 power outlets. The complete turn-key kit has everything needed to make a professional transfer switch installation in a home or office, enabling the wiring system of the building to accept the full power of a portable generator. This switch also has a power inlet built into its face for connection to longer 30 Amp power cords. This unit is cUL 1008 listed and is covered by a 5-year warranty. The safe, code-approved way to provide emergency power to your home or business during a power outage. The proper connection between a portable generator and selected circuits in a load center allows the user to efficiently and easily operate appliances such as a furnace, refrigerator, sump pump, TV, well pump, lights and more. Power can be manually transferred for each appliance independently at users choice without danger of backfeeding the electrical utility. The attached 18-inch flexible aluminum conduit is pre-wired and allows the unit to be easily connected at the circuit breaker panel, the furnace, or at any point in between. It can be used on any 15 Amp 120-volt forced-air furnace circuit. Simply plug a standard grounded extension cord into a power outlet on your generator and into the built-in plug on the transfer switch.
